These terms explain shopping with Kiwi Self Contained. Your rights under New Zealand consumer law are preserved.

Who we are & how these terms apply

This website is operated by New Zealand Campervans Group Limited, trading as Kiwi Self Contained. “We”, “us” and “our” mean that company. Our online store is hosted on Shopify.

These terms apply to use of this website and purchases from the store. Any separately agreed service or written quote terms also apply to that transaction, subject to applicable law.

Products, compatibility & installation

Read the description, dimensions, inclusions and exclusions before ordering. Ask us if you need help checking compatibility. Images illustrate the product or a possible installation; items are included only where the description says they are.

DIY kits require assembly and vehicle-specific installation. Use suitable fixings and sealants, secure components and leak-test water systems. Have the completed vehicle assessed by an authorised inspector. Buying parts or a kit does not guarantee self-containment certification.

Fix-a-Potty™ care: install the powder-coated metal bracket in a dry area. Do not install it in a shower, wet room or location exposed to repeated wetting. Powder coating helps protect the surface but does not make metal rust-proof. Dry spills promptly and inspect coating damage.

We do not promise compliance with future changes to legislation. This does not limit rights where a product was faulty, misdescribed or unsuitable for a purpose we agreed to when it was supplied.

Prices, payment & orders

Store prices are displayed in New Zealand dollars unless checkout states otherwise. Any applicable taxes and delivery charges are shown before payment. Prices may change for future orders; we will not impose an unagreed price increase on an accepted order.

Payment is required before dispatch unless we agree otherwise in writing. Product availability is shown on the product page. If an order cannot be supplied, we will contact you about alternatives or refund the unavailable items.

If a genuine pricing or listing error affects your order, we will contact you before fulfilment to resolve it. You may decline a proposed change and receive a refund for any cancelled item. Additional goods or work require your agreement.

Written quotations are valid for 30 days unless the quote states otherwise. The quote will state inclusions, GST treatment, delivery and any deposit or payment requirements.

Shipping & delivery

See our shipping policy for dispatch, tracking and delivery information. Shipping is calculated at checkout. Provide an accurate delivery address and contact us before ordering if you need signature delivery.

Tell us promptly about missing or damaged deliveries. We will help investigate and meet our obligations under consumer law; dispatch to a courier does not by itself remove our responsibility.

Returns, refunds & warranties

See our returns and refunds policy. Its change-of-mind conditions are separate from your rights for faulty goods. Manufacturer warranties apply where offered, in addition to statutory guarantees.

Privacy & messages

Our privacy policy explains how we handle website, shopping and contact information under applicable privacy law, including the Privacy Act 2020. Inspection records are covered by our separate certification privacy notice.

We send order and service messages needed to fulfil purchases. Marketing and review messages are handled in accordance with applicable consent and unsubscribe requirements. Google reviews are optional and should reflect your honest experience.

Using the website

Use the website lawfully. Do not misuse the service, introduce harmful code, infringe intellectual-property rights or submit misleading information. Our guides are general information; use current official requirements and inspector advice for your vehicle.

External websites, including Google, operate under their own terms and privacy policies. You retain ownership of content you submit and must have the right to share it.

Consumer protection & responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986. This includes any entitlement to compensation provided by those laws.

We do not automatically exclude consumer guarantees merely because an order is for business use. Any lawful contracting out must be separately agreed in writing and satisfy the legal requirements.

If an event outside our reasonable control delays supply, we will communicate with you and work toward a solution. Your statutory cancellation and remedy rights remain available.

Updates, governing law & contact

New Zealand law applies. Updates to these terms apply prospectively and do not remove rights relating to an earlier purchase. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining lawful provisions continue to apply.
